Delivery of samples
Deliver the samples to Wijngalerij Crombé warehouse, Doenaertstraat 20, Marke, 8510 Kortrijk, Belgium, between 9:00 and 16:00 from 17 April to 10 May 2024 (Only Tuesdays to Fridays). Samples delivered late will not be accepted into the event. We can only accept shipments that are Delivery Duty and VAT Paid.
Products from outside Belgium might need the necessary time to clear customs. Also, add the wording: “Samples of no commercial value – for attention The Intercontinental Spirits Challenge C/o Robin Pollet.”
Customs cost, import duty, and transport of entries will be for the entrant’s account. The organizers will not be responsible for any expenses related to the entry. The entrant’s responsibility is to ensure that their samples get delivered on time. The Intercontinental Challenge will not be responsible for losses due to entries being delayed for any reason.

Sample Collection and Delivery Process:
At the Intercontinental Wine Challenge, we prioritise convenience for our participants. To streamline the process, we have partnered with FedEx to collect your wine samples free of charge. Once payment is received, our team will promptly instruct FedEx to collect the samples directly from your specified location, eliminating the need for you to manage the delivery process. Once you receive an email from us stating that FedEx will collect it, please ensure the samples are ready for collection.
Secure Packaging for Safe Transit:
Ensuring the safety of your wine samples during transit is our top priority. Participants are kindly requested to pack their samples securely to prevent breakages. The Intercontinental Challenge will not be responsible for breakages.
Commercial Invoice Details:
Participants must include a commercial invoice with their shipments to facilitate customs clearance. The invoice should prominently feature the statement: “Samples of no commercial value – for attention The Intercontinental Wine Challenge” and declare a nominal value of 2 USD per bottle. This declaration helps expedite customs procedures and ensures that your samples are recognised solely for their evaluative purpose within the Intercontinental Wine Challenge.

Deliver your samples on 16 or 17 September 2024, between 9:00 and 16:00, to Lanzerac Hotel, Lanzerac Service Entrance, Jonkershoek Road, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Delivery option 2: During August up to 14 September 2024
Deliver samples to DHL Boland. If you courier your samples or send samples from outside of South Africa, please get in touch with Marijke Douglas in advance at Marijke.Douglas@dhl.com or phone her at +27 (0)21 872 4717.
